Moremi Game Reserve is the only officially protected area of the Okavango Delta. It is a place of incredible diversity, where dry mopane woodlands meet permanent lagoons and seasonal floodplains. To travel through Moremi is to experience the 'Big Five' in a landscape that feels both primordial and pristinely untouched.
Named after Chief Moremi of the BaTawana tribe, this reserve was the first in Africa to be established by local residents. Today, it remains a stronghold for the endangered African Wild Dog and offers arguably the most intense predator-prey interactions in Southern Africa.

From the massive Chief’s Island—the highest point in the delta—to the smaller, palm-fringed islets, each offers a unique vantage point on the wild.
